Our Ongoing Mission:
ExoConsulting’s 2021 Goals

In our last article, we looked at ExoConsulting’s 2020 successes and setbacks. These lessons also apply as we move forward in 2021. To be successful, we’ve defined four major goals

RaceWeather:
The Next Generation

RaceWeather is the weather forecasting arm of ExoConsulting and is going into its 19th season supporting NASCAR’s top three series. ExoConsulting’s first goal is to launch an updated RaceWeather website before the Busch Clash at Daytona on February 9. We are very excited with the path that RaceWeather is on and everything that it will become to the world of racing.

Reflections from the Academy

From the beginning, ExoConsulting struggled to be a thought leader. We tried to cover too many topics and underestimated the amount of time it requires to produce material. Subsequently, our focus was narrowed to focus on my background in motorsports, meteorology, and the business of both. The content we write based on private sector experience, coupled with academic knowledge and research, has proven more popular with readers.

ExoConsulting’s second goal for 2021 is to publish 24 articles (6 per quarter) on the website. Through building our readership and increasing website traffic, we hope to grow our client base, contributing to our fourth goal of increased year-on-year revenue.

Hailing Frequencies Open

The evolution of ExoConsulting’s mission in 2020 resulted from reflecting on the markets we were participating in and realizing our strengths and passions.  A similar transformation is coming with how we promote our services and communicate with our prospects, clients, and all those who are interested.

ExoConsulting’s third goal is to implement new technology and strategies that will increase outreach. Specifically, this goal consists of three areas:

  • Implementation of newsletter & marketing e-mail lists;

  • Participation in at least four trade shows & conferences; and

  • A 25% increase in year-on-year website traffic for both the ExoConsulting and RaceWeather websites.

Live Long & Prosper

In 2020, ExoConsulting was founded and evolved into a company that just six months ago, we would not have imagined. While last year was about genesis and transformation, this year will be focused on our prosperity.

Growth can come in many forms, whether it’s the number of clients, how many racing series we are working in, or the expansion of our weather consulting business. Above all, our true metric of growth is revenue. ExoConsulting’s fourth and final goal is to achieve an 8,000% year-on-year increase of revenue with a stretch goal of 11,000%. This would allow us to retain and reward our talent, as well as grow our staff and improve our technology.

Epilogue

During the month of December, we shared a six-month snapshot of the company in our Winter 2020 Newsletter. Then we looked back at the challenges that both ExoConsulting and I faced in 2020 with the Year in Review article. The weather stops for no one and motorsports are scheduled to resume. ExoConsulting was founded during a tempest, giving us unending resolve and a vision for the future. We invite you to follow us on social media and watch us grow.

Since 2003, ExoConsulting’s founder, Dr. Aaron Studwell, has been providing weather support to the NASCAR community, building his reputation as an effective communicator with a passion for the sport and the people in it.
