ExoConsulting, LLC was founded in June 2020 with the vision of being a scientific consulting group. Our goals were to conduct atmospheric research and perform forensic meteorological analysis. Through the latter half of 2020, ExoConsulting’s mission changed, as did our business direction. Rather than stray off the new path before us, we decided that once we reached the fork in the road, we took it.

Soon after ExoConsulting was founded, Dr. Studwell was approached by senior management of the World Climate Service to conduct business development with them in the energy sector. Over time, we broadened our scope of services and client base to include commodity, equity, and cryptocurrency traders. That evolution led to the development of Chesapeake Analytics, bringing together meteorological expertise, energy-market knowledge, and clear communication to help businesses understand how weather and climate can affect their operations and markets. Chesapeake Analytics will keep your business ahead of the storm.

That expertise has also expanded into energy-industry analysis. Through Chesapeake Analytics, Dr. Studwell provides weather and climate analysis for Industrial Info Resources (IIR Energy), with a particular focus on the intersection of weather, energy demand, power generation, infrastructure, and commodity markets. His work ranges from short- and medium-range forecasts and severe weather impacts to seasonal climate trends and the longer-term challenges that a changing climate presents for energy infrastructure and reliability.

Chesapeake Analytics has also returned Dr. Studwell to his broadcast roots through a new relationship with Radio Ocean City. Beginning in 2026, we provide weather content and forecasting for the station, with an emphasis on Ocean City, Maryland, the Delmarva Peninsula, and the broader Mid-Atlantic. The partnership combines local weather coverage with Dr. Studwell’s experience translating complex meteorological information into useful, understandable forecasts for a general audience.

Through our RaceWeather brand, Dr. Studwell’s nineteen seasons of providing weather support to the NASCAR community built his reputation as an effective communicator with a passion for the sport and the people in it. RaceWeather has since grown beyond its NASCAR roots, providing specialized weather support across multiple forms of professional motorsports.

Through these relationships, along with others established over the years in collegiate and professional sports, our business offerings became something very different. The brand now reflects our mission at EC Sports Management.
